I have found it prudent to think of the worst case scenario,  then the result will not put you on a downer 

However i am optimistic when it comes to thinking about other people and their possibilities    don't really
understand why that is so,  but i am very optimistic when it comes to chucky the urchin.

Depends on what I am looking at.

The glass that represents my growing son is 1/10th full and filling.
The glass that represents my life is 2/5th empty and draining.
Any glass with Scotch is never full enough.

If the glass was being filled, then it is half full.

If it was being drained, it is half empty.
