Wokking the dog.
« on: April 18, 2011, 03:41:32 AM »
I found this article on Yahoo about dogs being saved from the cooking pot in China. Apparently cats are popular culinary items in the South.

The consumption of dog and cat meat, both of which are believed to promote bodily warmth and are thus popular in winter, remains widespread in China despite a surge in popularity as pets.

I don't understand how canyone can eat cats - surely they are here to be worshipped and loved?

Someone should tell them they're doing it wrong.

To "promote bodily warmth" in the winter, you place the dog/cat ON you, not IN you.  :facepalm2:

Me too. It got me thinking of that douchebag in Canada that killed 100 dogs in two days.  :thumbdn:

That whole "promoting bodily warmth in the winter" thing is stupid anyway.  It was my mother's reason for making me choke down
oatmeal   so many winter mornings. Think about it, no matter how hot your breakfast is, it won't STAY hot in your stomach for
hours afterward and warm your entire body like a furnace.  Don't they have COATS in China?  :duh:

I didn't realize that promoting bodily warmth was such a widespread excuse for bad conduct.

It just goes to show the huge differences between nationalities

It gets me, how they call us 'uncivilized',  and they call us 'barbarian's'

Do they not have pet's in China?  i wonder what ??

The whole thing is just repulsive to me,  eating cat's and dog's,   :flo: :kitten:

they are the uncivilized ones, methinks.

how come there are no doggy smilies??
blah blah blah

Do they really have such a shortage of food that they must resort to eating intelligent animals?
