What do you think about when you listedn to music?

I don't mean thoughts that go thru your head like "did I switch the oven off" or "shall I take the dog out"

but do you visualise anything and, if so, what?

I think about obvious spelling errors in thread titles.

I think it should be obvious that different music makes people think of different things.  "Music" is far too broad a term for me to be able to answer the question.

Well yes, I thought that was obvious too. I was thinking of examples. I didn't think anyone actually thought the same things regardless of the music they were listening to - I know I don't. I could still answer this thread though, so don't see what that matters

yeah i got no correct answer,  all depends.   i do visualise sometimes,  usually about stuff i did when i was young - like a frolic in the  long grass.  Certain music takes me back to gigs and festivals i went to -  i usually visualise the band then.

When i lost my Dad everything i heard for a while would put his image in my mind.   I have pictures in my head of the Urchin as well,  but i do that with or without music.

Well, I always think of something, but like MLA said it really is about the music itself. First off, I always think in pictures. Always. So.

I associate music with certain people sometimes, or certain memories. Or, heavy music helps me be motivated to clean the house or walk up a mountain. And music sung by sexy people makes me horny

Don't listen to a lot of music but when I do, usually am singing along and pretty much into the music.
