deer creek is aparently running out of fire agate, and its too costley to mine nowadays because water has to be trucked in to wash off the material, So most mining is done after it rains

Yesterday was a national holiday of sorts, so I guess today's just an extension of that.

No, that's it. For some reason it completely escaped my mind earlier why we had a day off.

If you sit in the porcupine enclosure, Mullet (said porcupine) will get quite curious and try and find a way to crawl up onto your lap. She got as far as putting her two front legs, on my legs so she could lick my cheek before I kindly asked her to get down since there wasn't room for both of us and all those quills
