  Medical progress is awesome!  Today's EKG was much faster and easier than the one I had in the late 90s.
   I think the whole thing took all of 5 minutes.  I am impressed by the cool EKG technician.

It goes very quickly, yes. I had one in 1989 and then in 2010. The one in 1989 took half an hour or more, the one in 2010 took 5 minutes like you say, or even less.

CAT-scans also go faster. They took about 20 minutes in the 90's but about 1 minute now

The receptionist at my daughters orthodontist is a real bitch,  she was all nasty because the computer said we were way behind on payments but as sweet as can be after the doctor told her the computer was wrong and that we were up to date

  I hate feeling bitched at by customer service people, but on the other hand I'd be the same way in their job.

  I'm not defending rudeness, but I imagine the doctors don't get 1/10 the attitude from patients
   that receptionists do.  Receptionists probably get yelled at for a lot of stuff that is the doctor's fault.
