I'm already downloading and seeding key files. I've signed a few petitions, etc. As you can tell, also rallying the troops here a bit. 8)

What people underestimate is that, a tiny contribution with massive amounts of people involved can begin an actual powerhouse which can help facilitate action.

I don't see what good down loading files will do. Most of that stuff is dated and will be irrelevant soon anyways.  :-\

It's for principle that if they take down Assange, try to take down and arrest millions of us too (as well as any media outlet who has done it too). Also it serves as redundancy to prevent erasure of information.

Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.

Well yes, the Barbra Streisand effect.  It only takes a handfull of people to do this though.

However this is the U.S Government and Corporations were talking about here, not a famous person or religion. It would be piss easy to trace and take down a 'handful' of people.

I'm doing for the sake of freedom, everyone has the right to speak freely and truthfully without legal, military or corporate meddling and/or reprisal. The more people who have this information, ironically, the harder it will be to pass a law to ban it, impose censorship or declare it as terrorism. Because you see, you cannot put the entire planet on trial and even if they try to arrest a few, it'll only fuel the desire to fight. This is a prime opportunity to use their own psyops against them. Ask the right questions, express yourself freely and most importantly, do not think this is hopeless.

Here's an interesting cable:

http://qualitycontrol.operationleakspin.org/?ticket=10rome125-opponents-of-italian-internet-bill-say-it-stifles

So the Australian government were not the only ones trying this shit. But this concerns me, because it seems there's an international desire to censor the internet lately. Then a while ago, secret international plans of ACTA were leaked on wikileaks too, exposing a plan of applying new anti-piracy laws (likely as a false pre-text to exert almost limitless regulation of the internet).

There's also something intriguing here.

Here's an article about the Australian ACMA blacklist leak next year: http://www.somebodythinkofthechildren.com/acma-blacklist-leaked-contains-legal-websites/

Wikileaks was also the one who leak the Australian government's ACMA blacklist. This allowed people to see that legal sites were blocked too, and showed the government to be lying about it's intentions of only censoring child porn. This obviously outraged people and resulted in the government in 'postponing' this bill indefinitely, now in limbo. It stirred so much talk in fact, that if they tried it again, especially now, people will remember this past deception. So it kind of shoots down the conspiracy theory that wikileaks is a set-up for helping internet censorship, because why commit contradicting acts that will cause permanent damage to a future goal for governments? If anything, these past leaks actually add fuel to use against government efforts to censor the internet. You can now always cite these blacklists and what legal sites they contain, as proof that censorship attempts cannot be ever trusted.

But not to distract from the main topic at hand, reading even just some of these cables is important. People do need to see the information to judge for themselves, and not let the media tell them what they should think.
