Google Earth Game
« on: December 13, 2010, 04:05:31 PM »
OK, to play this game, you first have to find the object with the co-ordinates given by the poster above you. Post what you find at that location, then give a new set of co-ordinates for the poster below you to find.

Please post something that has some kind of overlay saying what it is.  ::) Otherwise it makes the game damn near impossible.

OK, find what's at:

34 deg 40' 16.95" N
120 deg 25' 22.64" W

It is the Mission La Puirisima Concepcion, a church in California.

Try this:

48 deg 34 min 49.048 sec North
7 deg 44 min 35.963 sec West

OK, it's a spot in the Atlantic Ocean to the west of the English Channel. What's supposed to be there? a sunken ship??

Oh. I think I said "West" when I meant to say "East". It was supposed to be another church.

Oh, La Purisma isn't exactly a "church", it was one of the Spanish Missions that they built along the coast. It had a garrison of Spanish soldiers and some government officials in addition to the church.

Playing the "Last Person to Post Wins" game requires very little effort. Richard and I have been just quoting each others' posts for a few days now. The "Google Earth" game requires motivation.
