I wish I could control my dreams. Then I'd wish I could stay asleep forever.

Oh and DirtDawg, shut your retarded mouth. :wanker:

Eat fuck, butt nugget.

 :wanker:

I think your parents should take away your computer time for saying cuss words online, little one. :wanker:

What are you talking about?

Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

It is funny, that is why I mentioned it.

But I did read both. I always read. I can not help reading.

I just wish that you had tied in your experience with those of us who can control our dreams, all in one thread for reference. Just a thought ...

Ok, I agree with that.

But I wasnt asleep and it wasnt a dream :) so it really isnt lucid dreaming at all. And I wanted to talk about punk rock, too.

ok, so this is supposed to be doom metal, but the punk influnce is there.

The Melvins really changed punk, in the beginning they were hardcore punk, yet Stoner Witch is the only good album

I think you would be more popular on here if you were talking about the Beatles (AKA the Overrated Faggots), eris. :wanker:

Seriously, this place's musical taste is about the same as most peoples' = SHIT.

The Melvins are much fucking better than the Beatles ever were, though. The Beatles, along with Elvis, gets astounding amounts of unwarranted praise. Come on, the Beatles were the Jonas Brothers of the 60's and Elvis was the Justin Beiber of the 50's. Simple, uninspired, bullshit.

And remember, the liberal media determines what's popular and what's considered "good". Not YOU, the listener.

Oh lawd Dook, there is a LOT more to it than someone's music taste. All the music you showed here is fucking crap to me, but trying to show your superiority of music taste just makes you a complete retard.

What to you constitutes good music? Explain on why your taste is factually better? (not be your opinion - FACTS)

Go on, enlighten me. :orly:

I know you're probably maybe not talking to me, but im commenting anyway :)

I agree no ones musical taste is better than another. For instance : I HATE PINK FLOYD. I just do, it is annoying. But they are really good musicians, and Christina Agulera can really sing, etc, I just dont like hearing it or talking about it. Harcore Punk is only one type of music I like, although 90% of it is pretty agressive. I just thought I would see if anyone else likes it.

i think we agreed on Joy Division once.   That is my favorite band of all time.

Ill tell you a secret. If this gets out I could be ruined  :zombiefuck:

i like Amy Winehouse

I got into the Post-Punk stuff mainly because a friend of mine liked it, and over time she introduced me to it and I liked it. Her favourite band was Joy Division too but I was already partial to them since I liked New Order beforehand. Quickly became my favourite too. Maybe it's because I fancied her, but we lost communication a couple of years ago. She probably killed herself or something, can't seem to find any trace of her since.

I don't like a lot of Pink Floyd either, but I really like "On The Run". Mostly due to it's synth sequence though, sounds very unusual and very similar to what Tangeriene Dream and the like where doing a few years later. This pattern usually applies with a lot of other songs I like that aren't prodominitely electronic (Including Joy Division). I normally can't stand music that doesn't have at least some synth in it, but I do appreciate a bit of classical and rock.

I don't like a lot of metal because the sounds just irritate me and all this "dark" bullshit added to it IMO makes it pretentious as fuck. I like my fair share of noise and general distortion but I'd rather hear bleeps and bloops than some long haired eejit wearing a codpiece furiously masurbating his guitar by playing 3 notes really fast.

To be honest, Doom Metal is just about the only thing about Heavy Metal in general I really give a shit about. I tend to get bored by most other kinds of metal, like thrash, death, black, power, etc. You hear one blast beat, you have heard them all. And I'm not a big fan of pointless guitar wankery, either. I like my metal slow, negative-sounding, distorted, and dare I say HEAVY? Early 70's Black Sabbath was almost perfect in that regard.

And I don't like hardcore punk at all. You can't get much more musically pretentious than punk. :thumbdn:

OK, I can conceede the point that my taste is dated, since I am as an entity, quite dated, myself.

My musical taste encompasses music from the before and up to The Renaissance, the French classical era, the German classical era, the Russian classical era, the folk American era, the American early Blues era, the big band American era, the Jazz era - as it began and as it is, NOW, in present time, the early rock-a-billy era, the "Country" era of legacy, the Doo-Wop era, the fifties pop era, the sixties pop era, the early funk era, the early hard rock era, the beginning of soul and rhythm and blues era,  the established hard rock era, the early heavy rock era, the punk era, the alternative era, the "damaged" Heavy metal era, the bluegrass from fifty to sixty years ago, the entirety of all electric music and all acoustic music, the entirety of all drum music, the entirety of all orchestral music, etc ...

Have you noticed that I have a great deal of desire to experience music?

Did you notice what I left out?

I have no interest in emo crap and as far as you claiming to portray yourself as a fan of doom metal, all I see is an idiot, clueless punk who is secretly sucking the dick of all that is EMO, whether it is music or "feelings".

Doom Metal and Emo are two completely different genres, Mr. Music Expert. The roots of Doom Metal go all the way back to bands in the early 70's like Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Sir Lord Baltimore, Grand Funk Railroad, and especially Black Sabbath, whose roots go back to blues. Emo, on the other hand, I don't know much about, but I believe goes back to punk.

Come on, Mr. Music Expert, do your homework and studying before making another stupid reply. And most importantly...

And remember this:

Knowledge is good. Ignorance is evil.

Do not continue to be such a moron in your comments or I will be done trying to help you.

If you are such an idiot that you can not see the point of what I posted, then I may already be done trying to help you.

Allow me to spell it out in the simplest of terms.

Your music interest is quite aside from what you project as a definable personality onto this forum. (<<< note the use of a period after that statement) Any amount of "cool"  music you play on about as your favorite, whether it is true or not,  is irrelevant when it comes to how you portray yourself.  I see a child wanting to make its way along the rough ways of a universe it does not understand. Now, admittedly, the fact that you, as such a strong child, has the determination to TRY and make its way is call for some of my attention. I have blessed you with a few minutes of attention at this point.

Do not misconstrue my interest. I plant seeds every season. I also brutally pull the resulting seedlings from my culture which show the same EMO (realise that my use of the term, "emo" has absolutely nothing to do with what music one chooses to define themselves) tendencies as you have shown.

I ask you to simply step back and take a deep breath.

We can try again to communicate another time, if you choose.  Rest with "knowledge"  (as you put it) that I will only ASK in regards to your further posts.
