No, it wasn't faked, Mythbusters along with several other groups have shown that it wasn't faked.

that seems a little hard to believe, the computer thing is really throwing me off

Why?? you don't need that much computer power to go to the moon because they were always making manual corrections with an optical scope. The guidance computer only pointed them in the general direction.

They were retouched, but that is not enough evidence to say it was faked. I'm more inclined to believe they actually did it, but I am surprised they didn't continue with it.

Yeah they should have continued on from there, who knows how much would have been achieved by now if they had.

The Moon landings were expensive as all fuck though. We brought back 850 lbs of rock and dirt and didn't see much point in going back.

I think they could have come up with the money for more exploration or at least research into a more economical way of doing things. But it seems they spent their money on other things. Like weapons and such.

Have you seen figures on what Moon landing would cost in today's money??

I haven't but can gather it would cost a lot. They are mostly concentrating on a Mars mission for now aren't they?
