I don't think most of you guys understand how awesome this is. You would become a legend, AND you'd get to go on the adventure of a lifetime. Hell more than a lifetime. Theres only one chance to go on this mission, and its the first of its kind.  :o

But you would never be able to come back to Earth to enjoy you legendary status. What's the point of being a legend if you're not around to enjoy it?

Exactly. You'd be up there  completely and permanently separated from the rest of the world.  :-\

And what happens as these eldery astraunauts die. I'd hate to be the last one left alive, once the other three have died. Being the only person on a planet would be the lonliest way to live out your final years.
not if you had the internet and forums to go to :headbang2:

But those necessities might not be available on Mars in your entire lifetime there!  :'(

You got it dude lets leave this decrepit shit ass race of clowns behind. They're just too weak and cowardly. We need to take a girl with us though.
errr make that a couple of ladies, so we can do the adam and eve thingy

I hope there will be more than just two couples up there! Think of the inbreeding!  :zombiefuck:
LOL, since we are Aspies ...maybe no breeding

Oh, you definitely would have to breed up there! It would be your civic duty!  :police:

Yet so many keep aiming for an afterlife. No matter what their beliefs or ideas.

And in doing so, they miss out on life.

I'm not happy here anyway, plus i've already been dead once. I'd rather become a hero.  ;D

They shoulda sent an Aspie

Lunar Industries decided that it was too expensive to train and ferry workers to and from the Moon: instead, they create clones of Sam, implant them with the real Sam's memories and keep them cryogenically frozen.  A new clone is thawed whenever anything happens to the old one.  When the three year contract is up, they tell the current Sam clone that he's getting into the pod to be cryogenically frozen for his return trip to Earth, then he's killed and cremated.

Internet would make things a lot easier I have to admit, but I'm not sure they would be able to give you internet on Mars

The monthly fees would be staggering. :zoinks:

That was one big spoiler! :D

Rage, I think you should contact whoever is in charge of the Mars mission and sign up for it.
