i think religion might do some good, but its completely outweighed by all the bad stuff it causes. for instance i was thourally convinced i was going to hell because i like dudes, i mean td;lr.

In the case of Abrahamic religion, no. It is bastardised and corrupt by its very nature. It's totalitarian to its core, its founded in tribalism and racism. It hates the individual and seeks to destroy self-identity so that the individual becomes a conformist, puppet of the religion, and by extension, the government.

When you read George Orwell, you soon discover the totalitarian nature of religion, and the theocratic nature of totalitarianism.
