my landlord, also shovels the snow and keeps here property in very nice condition, i hardly have to do anything!

shes a nice old lady but she can be a bitch, and use the heater too much. i have all my vents coverd by thick sunday style magazines because im such a cold snob  :angel:

We had proper snow here for the first time in my life last year. usually we just get slushy shit that goes grey when u drive over it and then disappears. in january we had real snow tho, inches of it

Here int he cold north, my fingers almost turn blue in the winter, even in Southern Norway (don't mention Northern Norway and/or Svalbard).

last year was awesome winter. i expect it to be the same this year. so i'm just waiting for the snow :D yay :D

Yes, fires can start that way.

What kind of heating do you have? Could a small investment in a thermostat make a difference? Enabling you to lower the heating in your room? Would save your landlady a lot on heating-costs :laugh:, she might be willing to participate in getting a thermostat installed.
