I totally agree with that. He appears to be every bit as over-zealous as the most over-zealous religious types.

However, I find it hard to blame him for what he's doing. He has book deals and tv deals, lots of money, and a lot of fame because of what he does. I think most people here would happily do what he does, for the rewards that he gets.

I agree that he is totally right. I just don't see the point of trying to convince religious folk that there wrong. I hate nothing more than religious people trying to convince me that I'm wrong.

Also, he does make athiesm look bad to religious people. I've argued with a religious person, and they keep saying that athiesm is just another religion. I tell them that athiesm isn't a religion. And then they say "Richard Dawkins".

I don't really know too much about the American attitudes to religion. I don't know if he's managed to change the mind oof any Americans or not. What he says is right, but since when has logic mattered to religious people. With me he's preaching to the converted.

I know I'm not the first person on this site to say this, but if religious people could be swayed by logic, there would be no religious people.
