Oh, BTW, the stray tomcat lives here now, inside some but mostly outside, even in this horridly cold winter weather we have had.
He IS an outdoor cat, but he has come to love the option to pop inside out of the extreme cold we have had this month. He gathers a meal and a nap and heads back out there for a day or two at a time.
He is very tame and even loving and quite tolerant of my daughter (who generally treats any living animal as if they were a stuffed toy for her to crush. She is autistic that way sometimes)
I named him Peter, since THAT seems to be his most prominent trait. My other older, spayed cat does not trust him at all. She just ignores him now after they had a few spats over feed time. I have not seen him spray at all, so he might keep his balls, but still - - - I want to be a responsible pet owner. No reason to have a marauding tom cat in the neighborhood. If no one shows up to claim him after the spring time comes, his daddy parts are destined to be gone.
Sad, but true.
