British (English) aspies, where are you?

For those of you who live in England, where exactly do you live? I've been talking to the study abroad advisor at my university, and I am looking at three universities in England and one in Australia. I'm most likely going to study abroad next semester, before it gets too late. The colleges I'm looking into are Worcester College of Higher Education, Edge Hill University in Lancashire, and Northumbria University in Newcastle. (The Australian one is Macquarie University in Sydney.) I am just curious as to where you all are and if you know anything about these universities.

I don't know anyone who has been at those but can tell you the cost of living is far lower in the North. Also, you might have a bit of trouble at first with the Newcastle accent.

I don't know anything about the universities you mentioned so I didn't reply- I'm in Yorkshire.


Will any of the courses you take involve workplacements in a school?  If so  I would second Dunc's advice about a Newcastle accent being difficult to understand at times.

Hmmm, I'm guessing workplacements is what we call fieldwork here...I think it depends on the school I go to. If the accents are hard to understand in Newcastle though, then I definitely won't go there, because I'm horrible at understand certain accents.
