I have preserves in my refrigerator that my grandma made. I will never eat them but don't throw them out either.

What kind of preserves?

I had some hot pepper jelly my grandpa made, but I ate it.

Peach preserves.

Yum.

I have made peach preserves before.  If you had said fig, I would be very jealous.

Why won't you ever eat them?

Because they are a tangible reminder of my grandmother so I can't bring myself to eat them or toss them.

I can see that, especially if your grandmother's gone.  If I hadn't already eaten my granddad's hot pepper jelly, I might have been tempted to hold on to it, too.

My grandmother made me a quilt that I would never get rid of.  I have a small very sturdy table that my dad made for my daughter and he helped me redo two old solid oak Queen Anne chairs.  I have my mother's Hummel figurines.

My grandmother made me an afghan about 20 years ago. I use it on a regular basis.

I'm sorry PPK, but I've got to ask.

Exactly how long have those preserves been in the fridge?

My grand mother had the top of my sisters wedding cake in her freezer at least ten years

I cannot read in a moving car; I have to look outside. Even looking down long enough
to rummage in my purse for cab fare can make me a bit queasy.
Do you get air sick too?

I don't know, I've never flown!  :chin:
Don't worry about it. Aircraft are cool.

And if air travel doesn't agree with me, I can always request one of those cool little airsick bags!   :2thumbsup:
Better yet, just don't get nauseous.  :zoinks:

What's the secret?  :orly:
I don't know, I just never got air sick. Flying is fun.

I'm terrified of flying.

I never get seasick or airsick or carsick, though. I just really and truly am scared of flying

I'm like that too. I have lots of stuff I can't throw away because of similar reasons.

i need to pay some attention to my floors, and brush my teeth more often. i seem to have very bad teeth for some reason and no amount of brushing is doing a thing to bring me relief!

You need dental care. A proper dental cleaning can remove plaque from your gumline area.  :nerd!:

That's not too long, jelly & afghans, you're grandmother sounded cool.

No one touched my grandmother's freezer unless they were extremely brave or really, really stupid. She threw a fit if you even suggested cleaning it out for her too.  :zombiefuck:
