At least you know you can do it if the need or opportunity should arise.  :viking:

I usually listen to all of the songs of a band I like. I don't really pick and choose too much. I either like a band, or i don't. Bt i do listen to some songs on repeat. I usually don't like a band, though.

Because I am so fair complexioned my eyelids seem to have light violet eyeliner on them all the time.  It's actually the roots of my eyelashes showing through.

Cooking!   I was once very keen to make a 'go of it' when i took my

first cookery lesson in senior school.  I guess i was 12 years old.

Lesson 1
Toad in the hole
result  =  not bad at all

Lesson 2
Swiss roll
Our teacher informed us of the ingredients needed,  and she said to make
sure to bring a tin as well to take the swiss roll home in.
I  thought i was very smart by taking in a 'marvel tin'  as it was round and
oblong like the roll.   Huh...
Actually when it came out it looked quite good.  It certainly didn't stand
out from my classmates versions.  Feeling pleased i packed away and went
on my merry way home.

It went in the tin beautifully at school.  It had however expanded
inside the tin.  I tried to slide it out.  No joy.  Put knife in at opposite
ends and tried to coax it out.  It started to break up.

I always remember my brother nearly wetting himself with laughter as
my mom 'spooned' it out at the table.

I seethed.  Red faced and humiliated.
I made up my mind, there and then that me and cooking
were over.!! :grrr:

The first time I baked chocolate chip cookies at home for my family after I learned to make them in Home Economics class at school, I was too impatient to wait for the oven to preheat, so I put them in too early.  All the cookies ran together and I wound up with one huge round chocolate chip cookie.  It still tasted good anyway.

I don't give up after cooking disasters, but I'm fond of saying, "It was an experiment."

Remembering further back, I remember when I was eight years old and my mother was in the hospital with a badly broken ankle.  My dad was used to her cooking breakfast for him every morning, so even though I had only helped her make scrambled eggs before and she always took them off the heat for me when they were done, he decided that since I was the only other female in the house I should get up at 5 AM and cook his breakfast.

So I tried.  I knew how to break the eggs and scramble them in the bowl and how to turn on the stove and stir them around in the pan so they wouldn't stick.  What I didn't know was how to judge when they were cooked enough and take them off the heat and put them onto the plate.  So I stirred and stirred and stirred until my dad came to take them off the heat for me.  The scrambled eggs looked like little round BBs by then and were completely inedible.   After that, my dad decided that he would cook hs own eggs.

I think I lost a credit card today.  I'll call tomorrow and check the charges made today before I cancel it.

I think I lost a credit card today.  I'll call tomorrow and check the charges made today before I cancel it.

Isn't your credit card customer service available around the clock?

Also, I think that you should be able to set up an online bill paying account for the credit card if it's a major one like Chase or Citibank by going to their website, then you could view your account activity any time you wanted.

Here's a link for Citibank:

https://online.citibank.com/US/JPS/portal/Index.do

Here's one for Chase:

https://chaseonline.chase.com/public/enroll/IdentifyUser.aspx?LOB=RBGLogon

I left my credit card at the counter of the store where I bought the satin shoes to match my wedding dress.  I was able to call and cancel it the same day and  they sent me a new one very quickly.
