Not quite the subject of this thread, but...

My Mother told me that you will always get at least a moment of sunshine on Saturdays.  The Blessed Virgin Mary washes her veil on Saturday and if it's raining G_d gives a moment of sunlight to dry it.

Also, if it rains while the sun shines it's because the Devil is beating his wife.  She put salt instead of sugar in his coffee.
