That's a nice split.  How long will it take to sort out when it's finished?

Normally we would know really by tomorrow morning. Now? We probably won't know for sure til next week and it will definiately be a hung parliament.
Good thing? Well it will likely mean that any idea or proposal over the next 4 years put to the powers that be (Good or bad) will be blocked and no party will be able to use weight of numbers to push it through.
In the next election the government in power will suffer for not doing anything and get hammered in the polls (irrespective of whether they were able to do anything or not due to various blocking attempts)
OR Australians will show their apathy again in the pols and history will repeat

Liberals won in WA? The place where all the pretty red dirt is dug up and sold for even bigger piles of dough? They didn't want to be taxed more on it? RSPT not popular there?  :zoinks:

Fucking amazing, ain't it. Anyway, looks like it's up to Bob Katter, Tony Windsor, Bandt and that other dude whose name escapes me to do what Don Chipp and his Democrats couldn't do - which is 'keep the bastards honest'. Xenophon from the Senate (Ind) said a Green/ALP 'union' would really only work if both parties could get the numbers. Unlike the UK, where the Lib-Dems and the Conservatives did the same, it would be a bit more of an effort here. Bandt was pushed to answer the same question, but wasn't going to show his hand. Abbott is technically fucked, because Katter and Bandt thought his handling of the costing of their policies was a bit lame. And given the history of Labour doing sweetheart deals with the greens, I think Gillard would be safe for now, albeit shitting herself.

Since when did Australia become a part of Florida?

Since Rose, Blanche, Dorothy and Sophia tried to get John Howard laid out on the patio.

Yep, but a rather fragile one. All it would take is a split in one issue by the independents and we'll be back at the polls again. Looks like Labor will be on a short leash this term.
Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.
