Was thinking this last week. The mental health practice where my son goes to talk to his counselor switched offices.

There is now parking. Yeah.

The fucking office is enough to encourage suicidal thoughts. Boo.

Most cold, depressing place I've seen in awhile. Told the lady he sees...she laughed. Her office is the only nice one there so far. She said she's brought it up to the head honcho and they're working on it.

I usually look compare £15 to whatever the equivalent is in dollars. Years ago it was at least 1.5 times the pound (Late 20s? Can't remember) then roughly $23, then brexit happened and it went right down to $18. Now it's over $19. I know it isn't much but it's better than it was.

Hmm, that could be even more out cos before the import tax limit was £18, then they reduced it to £15, though that was still a while back.

Doctors' and dentists' waiting rooms are ugly.  Uuuuuug-LEE.  Why can't they get it right? 

At the doctors where my friend goes, they have painted practically the whole practice yellow. My Irlen lenses (which are blue) can't even filter it out. The last two times I've been there I have gotten a headache.

At the doctors where my friend goes, they have painted practically the whole practice yellow. My Irlen lenses (which are blue) can't even filter it out. The last two times I've been there I have gotten a headache.

  Yellow, yikes.  The dental practice where I go now has accent walls in bright green,
   smoky-gray plastic chairs, a couple of dying plants, even I could have done better than that.

My dental practice looks modern and very clean, and has a TV. They do regular free samples of toothpaste too, ideal for taking travelling.

A lot of dental practices here are both private and NHS. The orthodontist I used to go to did both, and he had much better equipment than the NHS hospital I went to.

Maybe it works well for dentists because...actually, I can't think of a reason.

On the other hand, the hospital I went to for a blood test that was previously NHS, then run privately, was an absolute shambles. It was terrible, and there were so many people waiting around. I think it was one staff member doing blood tests plus other things.

^ I'm guessing that the privately run hospital is a shambles because their profits come out of tax money instead of directly by patients. Otherwise they would get nothing because their service is so bad.
