I am wearing black socks that have faded a bit. I'm wearing them with flip-flops!
That is SO wrong!!
Honestly, I can not do the flip flop thing - never have been able to ...
I can not wear anything that goes between my toes, except for very girlie, Woopie Goldberg toe socks and only when I am having some of my "no tactile sense at all days." The toe socks actually help me to feel something and keep an even keel when I can not feel any thing in my outer body at all.
It IS wrong, but I don't wear them outside, so nobody has to know!
How extensive is this lack of feeling? Do you feel pain if something hits you?
NO. An entire shut down of my near sense of tactile information happens (sometimes at random) when I become grossly overstimmed.
The random bit comes about every month or so (have not ever understood the reason for this), and it is long lasting, but the ONE that happens from just having too much crap to deal with goes away very quickly (that one can be daily, but by morning it is usually gone), but it is my entire tactile sense that is shut down. There can be no pain until later when this happens. (This used to cause me to seek pain, since it is an intense tactile sensation that seems to help me get back to normal. Except for an adult dose of burning myself every so often, I do not do this anymore.)
Not to worry. I do not know any thing more than to be me. It has always happened.
Maybe you might enjoy the Whoopie Goldberg socks, if you give them a try.
I wear them under my dress shoes, sometimes, just to make through the day.
