Al Copeland, the creator of Popeyes, died last year of salivary cancer (I think that's the one).  He had a tremendous Christmas display at his house each year.  Thousands of cars each night.  Finally the neighbors took him to court.  About the time he took sick he gave the set up to the local government to be put in the park.  Quite a flamboyant character.  I remember his first shop in St. Bernard Parish back in the early 1970's.  The spice level has been drastically toned down, particularly after he lost the company.  The chicken would be red with the seasonings.  Love them onion rings too.

I'm sure they'll let you in if you are polite and don't start yelling about free candy in the van and whatnot.

I think there's one near me; my friend's daughter worked in one for awhile.

Hardee's/Carl Jr.s is pretty good, but In-N_Out has better burgers because that's all they do. I can recite In-N-Out's menu from memory.

Hamburger
Cheeseburger
Double Cheeseburger
French Fries
Milk Shake
Soft Drinks.  8)

oh, and coffee.  ;D

The only Popeyes I know of are in Providence RI, Around here (Lowell MA) all we have is KFC.  Over by the Rourque Bridge there's a combination KFC/Taco bell that allows combined orders which is awesome.

KFC/TacoBell/PizzaHut/LongJohnSilvers are owned by Pepsi (hence the horrid drinks) and are being doubled up to capture a wider audience.

I like In'n'Out for burgers, Carl's Jr for their $1 spicy chicken sandwich, El Pollo Loco for their chicken, popeye's ditto.

All I have in Australia is...Red Rooster and KFC...for chicken pieces anyway. I like Oporto for chicken burgers; I had my first one at North Bondi Beach years ago and have craved them since.
