I had a piercing in my bottom lip a few years ago. I had to get rid of it because the back of the labret bar rubbed my gums and made them recede quite badly. I liked that piercing a lot, but I like having teeth a lot more. I might get a nose piercing in a couple of months, once we're out of the runny nose season.

They are quite attratcive, but have to come out eventually because they look absurd beyond youth. Older people with them look like they are trying too hard to look young, and the tiny scars they leave are also not so pretty.

That person seems to be assuming that the sole reason to have piercings is to emulate youth. It isn't.

That's correct. Have no interest in piercings but would personally like having pink hair; pink hair is pretty but beyond a certain age it comes across as laughable or sometimes even a bit pathetic.

  How are those gums now?  I've heard that swishing with coconut oil can be healing for bad gums.

I posted pics of two of them in the Elders photo thread just after I had them done. Enterprise NX-01 mission patch on my upper left arm and small green puzzle piece on my right wrist.

My other one is like a Celtic swirl pattern that I got on the back of my left shoulder when I was 18.

That's cool!  What is the significance of the puzzle piece being green instead of blue? 

Green is the colour for mental health. Here anyway.

  Ah, cool.  A blue puzzle piece, at least in the U.S., is the logo of Autism Speaks.

Yep, I knew that. Blue looks nice and all but look at what it is linked to. Glad I got green.
