What kind of cake was it?

 Two thin layers of chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream in the middle, whipped cream
 on top.  My boss suggested it so we could use up the ice cream.  It looks OK!  :orly:

 Did you read where it says THIN LAYERS?  The top layer had to be placed on top of
 the ice cream by turning the cake pan upside down.  I usually do that sort of thing
 well, but yesterday I did not have the pan quite centered and the top layer landed crooked
 and some of it broke off and landed on the floor.  :'(  So I covered it up with the cream!
