  Thank you!  My sister is picking me up at 10:30, I have to arrive at 11 for whatever preparations,
   and the actual procedure is due to start at noon.  I'll be sedated.  I should be home by 3 or so.

  Have you had a colonoscopy too?  I can't remember.  I'm a little forgetful today.

They made me use a powdered mixture mixed with a half gallon of yellow gatorade.  Half before 5pm and the other half before midnight.  My scope was set for 7am.  I came home later and slept two hours.  Obviously I didn't sleep very much that night, I'd lie down and, whoops gotta go and release the kraken, like every 10 minutes.

  I got the four-liter jug, powder in the bottom, lemon flavoring packet included, and mixed it with water.
  As the early morning hours dragged on and the colon cleared out, I was basically shitting lemonade.

You had a colonoscopy at your young age?

Tonight is my last night on haloperidol. As much as I wanted aripiprazole (Abilify), it's not available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme unless I have schizophrenia, hence, it is too expensive. So I get to try risperidone (Risperdal) instead. 2mgs at night.

Have any of you taken or know someone who has taken risperidone? On Wikipedia it says it is used for irritability in autistic children.

Kid of mine did great on risperidon at first. Though side effects were not funny. After a few months she got more and more tired, sleeping most of the day. So they tried other meds. She also was on aripiprazol for a very short time. That was utter hell. It increased her irritability massively. She seemed to be in aggressive meltdown 24/7 and ended up totally exhausted. There are several clues kid has a different type of metabolism, it is in her status that no psychopharmaca can be prescribed, unless she gets a biogenetic test first.

A friend of hers made a change from risperidon to aripiprazol too, in the hope it would help with weight. For her there was hardly a difference in the effects of both medications. They did the job they were supposed to do. There was no difference in effect on weight and wanting to eat either.

I think I will still take benztropine, only I will halve it.

Risperidone is for tics. They bother me most at night when getting to sleep. So 2mgs before bed should work well and wear off during the day when I am taking dexamphetamine. At least I hope so.
