Crushed a pill? now and then....If I'm going to take my benzos sublingually, crushing them, or at least breaking them up into a few smaller pieces helps them dissolve quicker. Don't have to with the loprazolam, but my nitrazepam pills are big buggers and take ages to fall apart.
Or if I'm going to prep oxycontin for IV with a micron filter, etc. then they need to be finely ground up to powder, dumped into a vial, and left to soak for about 5-10 minutes to get most of the oxy out.
*is currently self medicating with a big plate of battered king prawns in sweet and sour sauce and cold beer...mmm...heaven:D*
And couldbe, I think they do. they certainly make something like that. I don't want to bother wearing something on my nose though. And in this case, the xylometazoline spray, or oxymetazoline, acts in the exact opposite way to the med that causes the congestion, tizanidine (which I use to prevent overstimulation/overloading, occasionally as a muscle relaxant when my back plays up, and to sleep), only locally, leaving the tizanidine to work systemically. The latter allowing for longterm use of the spray also, preventing tolerance to it, and rebound congestion which would otherwise occur.
