i haven't taken any meds for about six months now, save for the occasional Xanax.

You don't need them at the moment?

I don't feel like I do. If I keep my brain busy so it doesn't start to eat itself, I can live without meds. It helps that the job I have now is one of my obsessions, so it doesn't get boring or monotonous.


I've found that a lot of physical activity seems to do wonders as well. Helps me sleep better at night, then I feel more balanced and alert during the day.

I just finished taking the last of them.  I'm taking two different antibiotics now, Avelox and Clindamycin, in addition to the Lisinopril, so I'm skipping the multivitamin because I don't want the iron and magnesium in it to adversely affect the Avelox.

 You certainly research your medication interactions before taking your meds! 

I came home from the doctor's office and went straight to the Avelox website to check on interactions before I took the first pill because I had never heard of this medication before.  It also said that NSAIDS taken with it could cause some adverse reactions, so I haven't taken any since I started taking Avelox.   I saw other possible adverse reactions, but this is a bad infection so it's worth the risk to me.

I have taken most of my medications today, but I still need to take Lisinopril, Clindamycin and Vitamin D some time before bedtime.

Thanks Jack.  I have an infection in the bursa in my right elbow, so the whole joint is hot, swollen and painful and there's a sort of lump that looks like a golf ball under the elbow skin.  However, the area affected has been decreasing since I started taking Avelox along with Clindamycin.

This isn't my elbow, but this is what it looks like except that on mine, the red, hot, swollen area extends a few inches both up and down the arm.

I'm really glad to be rid of the Strattera. Most of the side effects are gone now.

yes... GOD DAMN I HATE MY RISPERIDONE! but i like my sleeping pills... being able to sleep more than an hour a night is nice. goodnight all.

The culture results came back and it is MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus).

They also checked to see which antibiotics it is susceptible to and Doxycycline was the best one that I'm not allergic to, so I switched last night from the two antibiotics I was taking to just Doxycycline.

^^ take care of yourself, and get better soon. I have a sensitivity to doxycycline, I get very very sleepy to where I cannot wake up so when I had a PID I had to be switched. It is a very powerful antibiotic. MRSA is very serious. Since you have a child in school you are at risk for it. I hope this all goes away soon.

Thanks.  I'm allergic to sulfa antibiotics, Amoxicillin, and Erythromycin, but so far that's all.  I used to take Minocin for acne and I think that I took IV Doxycycline as a precaution against infection before a surgery that I had, so I hope that it's going to be all right for me.
