Got the real thing finally. It's very different from the sound on the promo I have (mastering is complete).

This is great, guys. It's the Band Of Gypsies, recorded at "The Record Plant" and remixed by Eddie Kramer at "Electric Lady Studios".

It's truly the Power of Soul! Just order it, damnit!





MODDED to add:

No, I'm not getting any commission, but if you're a Hendrix fan you will see several buzz words used above, which describe the best of Hendrix quality. This sounds very "First Days" era from 1970.

I wish, but, not really. I have always been obsessed with Jimi Hendrix. His family has been so fucked over by the music industry, that I want to see them get rich, finally, instead of struggling. There is no reason for them to have to fight so hard for what is rightly their's.

I was sneaking a listen to a contraband radio in high school, when I heard he had died. I was devastated on so many levels. I couldn't finish the day and just left school. I am still moved, deeply, when his music touches me.

No one has even begun to take the guitar as far as Jimi did, naturally, in a few short years.

Quite often, Schon shows unbridled genius, but he floats it in a sea of pablum. Not really recomending him, unless you're a student of the guitar.
