the americans always keep their hands below the table so that they can more easily get to their gun.
Misunderstood.

Actually most Europeans shovel peas etc with the ties up too. Just some old folk here try to push peas on the backside of the fork.

I always keep the knife in my left hand and fork in my right.  When I take a break hands under the table easier to play with myself that way :zoinks:

I eat American style, putting down the knife as shown and moving the fork to the right hand, tines up, left hand on my lap.

I use my right hand to cut food.   Sometimes I cut it all up into bite sized pieces, then put the knife down and use the fork.  Most of the time I just cut as I go and use the fork with my left hand.  I never put my elbows or forearms on the table, but that is more hardwired into me.   My hands can be either above or below the table, doesn't really matter.   I do eat with the tines up more than down usually.
:P   Internets are super serious.

Also, in Europe we serve food from the right and drinks from the left. Or we don't usually do that, but that's the correct way to do it.

In German-speaking countries they have a special fork for cakes, called "der Kuchengabel". That's Viennese café culture.  8)

And you never put the tip of the spoon in your mouth but the side of it. :toporly:

I like moving the stuff on the tables in fancy restaurants it pisses them off so much
