To You what would a primary and supporting Mediator do?
be servants to the administrators and help them keep their sanity.
basically try to monitor the admin forum and try to squash any potential problems before they start to fester. keeping harmony in the admin forum is key to allowing them to do their job as being servants to the community.
also, offer insight ONLY, on site policy and other crucial discussions. no voting for mediators.
having a supporting mediator is the same thing as the primary, basically.
two people bouncing perception off each other about these potential problems is way more productive.
and, should a dispute arise, two people would hold each other to a less bias opinion of the situation. working together as a team.
basically, and we hope, that a mediator is a title only. if they are doing their job objectively and well, then they will not even be noticed, doing their job.
and they should NEVER lock threads in the members forum, nor try to mediate disputes among members. that is the freedom of the board, the members police themselves.
