yes, my under 8 girls tied 1-1.

i am so proud because my best player had the flu and only played half charged for half the game, and my second strongest player is on vacation.

they other team scored with 10 seconds left in the game.  my defense forgot their training about how they are to conduct themselves in the panic zone (the area right in front of the goal.
i taught them that they do not think, they just kick the ball out of bounds.  they hesitated.

oh, well.  still i am proud they worked hard, played as a team, and had fun.

4 weeks, second game.

i have never coached befopre, but i expect to succede in providing real life skills of not quitting and giving your all to whatever.  and of course, enjoying yourself.
i also want them to learn that winning is more fun than losing.  
i would feel that i let them down if i condoned quitting as acceptable.  it is never acceptable.

i was thinking of not posting after 9999, just to keep the drama at high intensity.  but then i realized i can't, since i am addicted. 
so then a lightbulb went off in my head and i decided that i would only post well thought out words of wisdom and strong arguments.  i thought, well, i could still stop at 9999 if when i felt the muse i would first delete some of my emotiwhores.

but then i realized that i like numbers too much to sacrifice even one post.

finally i decided, ah, fuck it all to hell.
