Sorry all I read was
my face ontop of Sarah Michelle Gellar.
then I was lost in distracting thought............... :o
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Im really sorry for all the hair bullshit guys and girls.

I am always so lost. I have such a split personality, half of me wants like never before to dye my hair crazy colours and get tatts an piercings, the other half wants to conform to societies standards.

Both of these people are me. Both of them will always be me. If society wasn't so judgemenatal I would go with the former. Because that is MORE me.

UGH!

Whatever you do in life you can bet there id someone somewhere and probably more than one and probably close to you that will find fault in it. Be the best YOU that you can be. You can only control  you. You only need to please you and if at the end of the day you can live with that, that's all you need to do.
I am not going to align myself after this with the part of society that you see as judging your hair. Damn!

As far as the other half- tats and piercings- not all tats (and not all piercings) have to be in places where society CAN see and judge.

tbh what I want deep down is this.

The reason im fat is because I havent been expressing my true self properley. The only reason in the world I would dye my hair brown as opposed to the attached pic is the reaction from society.
If being "fat" is what makes you unhappy, and if you are "fat" because you don't express you self the way you want to be, the solution seems simple.

Go for it. No matter what you do, what you wear and who you talk to, there will be people judging on it, and there will be people judgemental. There will be people making up gossipy stories, and others will make new stories. It will happen, no matter what you do. If you make yourself unhappy by trying to prevent that, you only make it worse.

Be who you are, unless it goes against ethics or is highly impractical. Would the way you look make you lose your job or so, you might need to compromise, for the rest there is no need to do that.

^I should adopt this attitude as well. It doesn't matter what I look like really, some of the people at uni are way out there.

I hope you post a picture of your hair when it is done. :)

I usually fly under the radar, appearance-wise, but there is a small part of me that wishes to go all flamboyant with radical outfits, and wild colours, and all that. I let out my inner rebel with silly earrings and socks that don't match my shirt, but that's about it.

I usually dress relatively conservatively, I think.

I almost always wear comfortable shoes, as opposed to fashionable ones, though.

Today, for example, I'm wearing a black dress with one black Easy Spirit running/walking shoe and my ever so lovely black cast boot, which I got back into just today.

I thought the colourful hair looked great. Wonder how it will look on you. Imagine you waking and seeing yourself the way you want to be. Good start of the day. Sign of taking your own needs and longings serious too. (Sorry Psych mode :p )

I have had clothing that made me stand out. Going for what I liked and not caring about fashion. Now I'm in a time where I can't be really bothered, still not going for fashion, but settling for affordable and decent without taking time to look for what I would like more for the same price. That might change back again, though I'll never like shopping.

I thought your hair was very blonde? Wouldn't colours look good in it (blue, pink, purple I mean)?

Whichever you decide, I think it is important for you to go through with it because it is a start to being the way you want to be.

One of the things I like least about the field I'm going into is that there is no way I'll ever be able to wear all my earrings in at work. I've accepted that, but damn, do I miss them.
