What do you think is ok to steal?

I have filled out a questionnaire where one of the questions were "Have you ever stolen anything?" and I ticked Yes. I have stolen pens from work. I have stolen a couple of those decorative pebbles from someone's garden.

Some people think it is ok to eat a few grapes at the shops or take a newspaper off someone's lawn.
Have any of you done anything like this or have stolen something thinking it is ok?

I think it's alright.  I wouldn't steal from an individual though cause that's just wrong.

i think there's nothing wrong with nicking some pens from work though

i don't think i have ever stolen anything except a little plastic injection thing from chemistry in school once. but there were loads of them

When I stole shit, I thought it was wrong.   This was when I was a teenager though, and I was stealing from stores.    I was doing it for the rush.    I didn't do it that many times and never planned on doing it more than the few times that I did.   I found other things that I enjoy doing, ones that wouldn't get me arrested.

I have eaten a grape from the bag I was about to buy at the grocery store before to see if it is seedless and I have given my daughter a banana to eat in the grocery store a few times, although I always made the cashier ring up an extra banana of the same size from the bunch at the register to make sure I paid for it.

I've taken food and energy drinks from a place I worked at years ago and consumed them during my shift, since they were a shitty employer who paid me £2.60 an hour and deducted 'uniform rent' from my paycheque when they hadn't even given me a uniform.

Obviously stealing from a shop affects some individuals but it's not the same as if I went around stealing people's purses.

It creates an entire security industry.   Without shoplifters, we would not need as many security guards.

But then that's just stealing like 1/2 a cent from a lot of people. Would you be upset if someone anonymous stole half a cent from you?
