You know on WP and the rest, we had very entertaining debates, because, there were people like Sean and Klytus with their Militaristic, facist views to contend with.   The thing is I feel that this site has an atmosphere that really appeals to the more liberal, outthere leftfield kind of aspies.   The result being that this site does not appeal to the like of Sean at all because they sinply wouldn't enjoy anything about being here.  So we end up all having the same opinions and values.  Then we end up either

Waiting for the rare people like Boewulf who only turn up once in a blue moon

or, just picking fights with each other for no real reason.

We need to get more conservative people here and make them feel welcome IMO.   Just so that we have people to argue with.

i believe and have been trying to push the sophist method of debate.  pick a side and argue it, it doesn't matter if you agree, since its all relative anyways.

I think part of the problem is that ideas like the anti-philosophy forum seem to have fallen by the way side a little.  It also doesn't help that everytime there's a heated debate someone screams 'aspie elite' or 'bully'.

then it seems like we attract the sensitive types trying to use the site to toughen themselves up a bit.  but then when push comes to shove they hide behind the old standbys.

Let me know what you come up with- its taken me a while to get all this straight in my head, the time away helped, but I still think its a complex issue.
