You're going to give away our secret.  England just nibbles up a little bit here and a little bit there and before you know it, we have an EMPIRE.   Although I will admit India was more of a big bite.

But India was worthy it! India gave us curry!   :2thumbsup:

I loved Scottish curry. It was very spicy, and the Naan bread was perfect. I think it was my favourite meal.

Currys in N.Ireland are crap. It's impossible to find a spicy one. All the sauces taste the same. They taste a bit like jam, and the Naan bread is hopeless. It's pointless buying takeaway curry here. You can make a better curry yourself from ingredients from the supermarket.

Any time I go back to Scotland I always make a point of buying a lovely curry.

Best curries I tasted are in Lincoln, all high quality indians there. Got myself a phall and loved it, although I wasn't prepared to handle that much spicyness. Spicier than a vindaloo. :aff:

They're alright down south, although they are not as spicy. Probably due to the annoying fact that most Irish don't like spicy food. Ugh.

My mother's mother (Anglo-Irish descent) used only salt, celery salt and pepper in her cooking.  :laugh:
