It's interesting that they propose charging patients more for ambulance service if they are extremely overweight.

I can see their point that it would cost the ambulance company more if they have to send more people to handle the patient.

Medicare and Medicaid won't pay more, but apparently some private insurance companies will.

That would be weird driving a forklift with a guy like that on the forks. I would want to lift him as high as it goes. :D

People who need specialist medical care are likely to be those least able to afford it, and shouldn't face additional costs on account of it.  Of the many things that I dislike about this country, socialised health care isn't one of them.

I wouldn't, I drive fork-lifts and that weight moving about would probably tip it over  :(

Because thats exactly what it is unles someone ties them down and force feeds them hamburgers.

I very much doubt it would encourage them to not get that overweight. There are already plenty of reasons to not do it.

Plus there is ALWAYS someone bringing them food.
