Thanks for the replies. I was worried he was a mutant or inbred or something.

Uh... I guess I should add I was holding his head in a non-sexual way...

My last cat (Spaz's mom, Allie) liked to bite my chin, especially if I hadn't shaved.

okay, then one of my cats must be the only cat who bites me in a sexual way. Harley (the gay cat...which makes no sense...but anyway) I have this joke that when Fred Astaire died, he came back as my cat. Harley LOVES to dance. If I'm dancing (uh...I frequently do this around my house for no apparent reason) he will sit on his hind legs and cry and paw for me to pick him up. When I do, he always puts one paw on one shoulder, and the other paw on the other shoulder then rubs his head against the side of my cheek. So we'll be swaying back and forth and he starts to purr like a mad man. Next thing I know he's licking my cheek...then he starts to lick up towards my right ear....then I get little nibbles on my earlobe :zombiefuck: okay, dude, you are HITTING ON ME!! Never fails. He totally puts the moves on me. It's become a party trick though because when I have people over, they never believe me until I show them and then they're busting a gut. He doesn't do this with anyone else but me :P

yeah the nibble thing is just w me too. since cats arent as inherently pack-based as dogs, they may probably form more individual relationships w different people

theyre so weird :D

I have always thought that the nibbling is a sort of affectionate washing.

Disclaimer: Whenever I talk about our cat Liam and about how I love him, it is always in a non-sexual way.

Sweetie nips, usually the back of my legs when she wants my attention or she's begging for a treat and I'm not getting the hint by her glaring at the cabinet door. She's gentle about it thankfully, or I would be missing some serious flesh by now.

She hardly ever meows and when she does it's more like a squeak.

its probably very individual, like cats are. mine doesnt do it for attention, cus she has usually gotten a lot of attention by the time she tries to nibble my face :D its often if i lay back, watching a movie, and got her on my chest, she will crawl up to my face like a worm, and nibble my chin :D

cats are known also to adapt their sounds, and even try out new sounds, if you react better to those.
my cat has gone through many sounds and signals to make me let her out, for example

I wanted to keep them, but he lost them last week and I can't find them. He may have swallowed them. In that case, they are gone, because I'm not digging through his poop to find them.
