what's your method?
« on: August 31, 2006, 12:11:52 PM »
i am interested in how various members scan the board of I².

this is how i do it:
i start at the top and click on a forum that is highlighted in blue.  and i stop and read, then i respond (usually).
afterwards i click on the intensity² button and start anew and stop at the next forum highlighted in blue.  working my way down the board.
i used to read everything, but now there are at leat two dozen threads that have a NEW flag next to it that i do not bother with.  i save them for rainy days.

also, i get pissed off when i respond to something and someone else responds to mine, but i forgot and left the thread alone.  only to find out (during the next rainy day) that i passed it up wrongfully.  and now its too late to respond.

thats how i do it: top to bottom, stopping at each step along the way.
Misunderstood.

George:I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Experience has taught me that interest begets expectation, and expectation beget disappointment, so the key to avoiding disappointment is to avoid interest. A equals B equals C Equals A, or whatever. I also don't have a lot of interest in being a good person or a bad person. From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law

At the top of the page where your avatar appears on the screen. Directly underneath the link to your pm's.

I divine direction from the stars and from ancient pagan rituals involving incense and dressing like an idiot.
And as always, these are simply my worthless opinions.
Reverence is fine, Sanctity is silly.
We're all fucked, it helps to remember that.

I kind of go around miscellaneously from forum to forum (as long as I see they have new replies.) I usually start with the ask away threads, as I am addicted to them.  ;D

At the moment I tend to flit aimlessly between the forums, I just don't seem to be in the right mood often just lately.

Usually though I start by looking for threads I've found interesting on a previous visit to see if there have been any new posts. Then I read other threads that seem like they might be interesting- I haven't read all unread posts for a long time.
