Mexico has plenty of natural resources to create a decent standard of living but the culture of corruption and greedy fucks at the top all wanting to protect their slice of the pie at the cost of no reforms ever happening results in most of their citizens wanting to get the fuck out. I can find illegal aliens for day labor here and in San Rafael and any other place in California but the dreaded ICE can't seem to manage it because now our politicians from Dims and Repugs have decided to pocket the money and let our economy go to shit. Illegal Aliens do drive down wages and they do use emergency rooms as primary care because they will not be turned away and they don't have to pay. Furthermore the prisons in this State have a huge number of illegals in them.

The way things have been going here in the US, it looks like we may very well be on our way to a welfare state much like Mexico.

The USA can't annex shit. We have enough internal problems that even $ for Clunkers won't cure. Besides, we'd just run the continent into the ground. Or maybe we're doing that already.... :lol:

i used to be a supporter of the NAU north american union but now i dont think it will happen. theres too much pride, on the part of americans for them to annex another country. our country will be a disaster and fall apart before that happens

Couldn't work. The Canadians would then be forced to live under the American constitution, and would no longer be part of the Commonwealth. And give the fact that half of Canada belongs to France I doubt that they would want to go that way anyway. As it is, US citizens from NY, Maine, NH, Vermont and anywhere close to the border take a trip to Canada to get cheaper medication. If Canada is annexed, then the Canadians have to operate under the same HMO system that the US has, and up go the parmaceutical costs as well as medical costs. No, the US should concentrate on looking after its own people without worrying about annexing anywhere else. And considering they've screwed up in Iraq and Afghanistan, it proves that any attempt on Canada would be a wasted effort.
