Probably sleeping, but instead, I am going for a midnight swim in a few minutes.
I want to make sure that my son is settled in and that my daughter is out for the night. Then I will go out to the pool and, hopefully, floating in the warm water I will find a way to chill this day away for my own self.
If I bring a swimsuit is there room for one more?
I suspect Dawg's pool is a swimsuit free zone at midnight
You are quite right. This time of year I have vines growing over eight feet high (almost two and a half meters) all around my yard and you can not see through them, since they are also about three feet thick (about one meter deep). Growing a massive jungle out of tropical/subtropical plants is a labor of love for me and I do it every year, then in late fall, after the hard freeze, I take my machete to the whole lot and make it look like Indiana again for the winter.
Creating what looks to be a jungle is just one of my many ways of "fighting back" against depression. The fact that doing so, while wearing a ten gallon, Texas straw hat and fairly clever snake-skin boots, makes me the talk of the neighborhood and/or a ridiculous spectacle is not relevant to my needs.
Unfortunately, since I hurt my hip and it has never healed completely, I am stuck with only the large plants. I can no longer crawl around on the ground and cultivate amazing detail plants.
My swim was very refreshing, by the way.
