Apparently, he felt unwell when he went to bed last night. 

He bumped his head when the airplane he was on had a rough landing, so I wonder if he had bleeding into his brain?

If you got hit in the head but you didn't lose consciousness and didn't vomit, then would you still go to the hospital to get it checked out?

My daughter ran into the sliding glass door at her grandparent's house and hit her head, hard.  I called her pediatrician, but I didn't take her to the hospital and she was fine.  My husband thought I was completely overreacting to even call the pediatrician.

Maybe Billy Mays thought he would be fine after a good night's sleep, assuming that's what happened.

When my wife got smashed over the head with a tree limb,
we DID go to the hospital. They puttered around long enough
that we just left.

Maybe he figured it wasn't worth the bother.
