We tried Quorn, today. I prepared it as if it were chicken and included it in a veggie stir fry. It is very squeaky to chew, but not bad, at all. If I could get used to the squeak, I would be fine with it quite often.

For anyone else who had no clue what this Quorn was that DirtDawg fed his family:

My favorite line on that page:

Quote from: wiki

"Quorn's fungus is as closely related to mushrooms as humans are to jellyfish."

Try not to think about athlete's foot while you're eating it.

Thanks, for the link, Callaway. BTW, I didn't actually have to feed it to anyone. We just ate it. It wasn't too bad.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Yesterday, I started off with a piece of lemon cake, and two 16oz cups of coffee. Then for lunch/dinner I ate a cheese focaccia and a tomato Focaccia. BiLo ( where I bought the Focaccias) seems to have this strange idea that using orange cheddar on their focaccias is an Italian thing.  :-\

Today, I had some bread spread with olive oil, and will most likely be following that up with Ziti with Marinara sauce, followed with some more bread with olive oil.

Soup. Damn cold seems to have spread to my stomach, or atleast resulted in it getting riled up, meaning that I didn't keep it for long.

I don't think that's what I have. I have had cold-related issues for a couple of days, and that was the only instance of something, except fever, that could be related.

And no, I don't know. Maybe someone here knows something that would fit the literal translation, "Winter barf sickness", well.

"vinterkräksjuka" means "winter creep having a propensity to"

I have yet to see an online translator that doesn't produce garbage when translating Swedish.

Oh, they got "winter" right, at least. "Kräk" as a word of its own means "creep" in Swedish, right, but here it has to do with the verb "kräkas", that means "vomit"..."sjuka" means "sickness" or "illness"".
