I can't eat sugar so was thrilled with the disovery of Splenda.  But I started having problems with puffy eyelids, read somewhere on the net that Splenda can cause that, so stopped using it.  Lo and behold, my puffiness went away.  Weird.  Now I just use honey, which is expensive, but better than looking like shit.

I wonder if she ever realised that honey is composed largely of sugar.

Isn't the sugar in honey mostly fructose while table sugar is sucrose, though?

yep.  fructose, then glucose, and other bits and bobs of other sugars (including sucrose), as i remember.  best check, though.

Many hypoglycemics can tolerate fructose quite well, but experience difficulties when eating  mostly sucrose.
