All I want personally is a 2 and 3 seater Chesterfield lounge for watching movies on my 50" Plasma.

Hope you get it :)  It's certainly much more attainable than what I want

I have a real projector, too. The image quality is fab, better than practically any cinema out there.

And the lightbulbs must be horrendously expensive.

The Xenon bulbs I have are used and I got them for free from closed-down cinemas. But yes, they would be ridiculously expensive if I had to buy them myself.

Nah, they just sell them. They're expensive to make, though.

My current modular is only 1/8th the size of that. Will expand it one day.

OMG! Have you ever seen photos of the first polyphonic modular synth? It was built by Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff (the latter produced DEVO's 3rd album) in 1969 and was used by Stevie Wonder and Gil Scott-Heron among others. Serge also makes some awesome mod units. And Bob Moog (RIP) made a monster one for Keith Emerson.

BTW, sorry about the drama. My bad.

It's alright.

You're talking about TONTO right? It was mostly a moog system, but it had ARP modules in it too. Must've been a herculian effort to get it all running, building a monophonic modular is tricky itself. They've turned it into a mostly software modular during the latter days, I think.

I was looking at serge, but I'm not a fan of banana plugs. Sure they're more flexible for routing, but it'll be hassle converting them to fit on my doepfer if I ever wanted to use serge modules with it.
