Other peoples rooms.....ever find them interesting?
« on: February 23, 2009, 09:53:32 PM »
This is my room

What's yours like? For some reason people seem to be interested in others living spaces. I caught a friend looking in my closet and than one day she caught me looking in her closet! When my brother comes over he looks in all our cupboards  and drawers and I caught him snooping in my room and eying my gaming set-up oh and trust me  I've been through my brothers stuff so many freaking times.
What's with people and why are they so interested in other peoples living spaces?
Park.

They are probably trying to see where you keep your vibrator and dildo collection.

I don't snoop- I'll wander and look, but I won't open drawers or even pick anything up without permission- but I find other people's rooms interesting because their living spaces can say things about them.  Usually it's just what their hobbies and interests are; it's also interesting to see what pictures they choose to display, what books they have, and what they were willing to leave out in the open even if they knew I'd be around.

The first time I saw my second boyfriend's bedroom, I just stood in the doorway and laughed for about a full half-minute straight because of how insanely cluttered and messy it was.  A guy I went on a few dates with last summer hung out with me in a warehouse room he and his (metal) band rented, and I spent a good long time just wandering around, looking and cracking up at the testosterone-laden decor.  (What really amused me was the effort put into some of the stuff- I mean, sure, almost anyone could paint a room all red and black and hang satanic images and pictures of pinup girls everywhere, but these guys had a vending machine with nothing but beer in it.)

Side note- guys almost always clean before a girl first sees their room.  I forget if I mentioned that on here before, but because I know that, I always assume that when I see a guy's room for the first time it's the cleanest it's been in awhile.  That makes any mess I see in a guy's roo for the first time even funnier to me.

What's so great aboyt the Beatnik...Beatles? Being pretentious about something that is subjectively judged, and doesn't actually matter in the broad scheme of things, in order to feel superior to others ftw.  8)

Buck Dharma
Eric Johnson
Steve Vai

Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

I look to look around but I won't dig into drawers or anything. People have told me that I'm too nosy/curious for my own good before, other people don't really care.

I'll take a picture sometime, most of my stuff revolves around movies, games, and music. My spare bedroom is the only particularly messy room.
