aw triz  you just prevented me from ripping him a new asshole

and i hate women like that. i just don't see what men see in them.

You can still rip me a new one if you like, I hate to have someone feel deprived on my account.  Plus, you probably couldn't do too much more damage then the first two girls that I absolutely adored, and pledged my life too...  and lived for, etc.

Bienvenido al nuevo miembro de otra nueva miembra.

I'm also new here, but A. English is my first language, and B. Many of the people here are familiar to me from other Asperger's/autism discussion forums. Thank you for your introduction. Soy una mujer canadiense, estoy más de 50 años de edad. Yo vivo en Australia con mi esposo, mis dos hijos y una gata muy querida.

Intensity can be a little confronting for a newcomer, but it is a good place to express an opinion or get into an argument. If there is one thing that Aspies are good at, it is arguing.

Hasta luega. :zoinks:

Melbourne, you say? Poor bugger. >:D

Our part of the country was badly affected by the Black Christmas bushfires of 2004, but we seemed to have escaped unscathed from the recent flooding, cyclones, fires, etc. that everyone has been copping to the north and south of us. Probably only a matter of time till the fuel loads here are back up to dangerous levels, though.

basically if someone isn't going to accept you as you are, you have no need of them and you should run away quickly before you get involved.

and i hate women like that. i just don't see what men see in them.

Why oh why does everybody consider this such a negative trait? Self-improvement is part and parcel of who I am. I expect as much from my partner, and I would be bored as hell with somebody who did not expect the same of me.

In all the whining of people who feel like they can't be accepted for being themselves, where is the ambition to become something more?

i didn't mean it like that. like ode said you can only change you. and you, general you, imo should accept your partner as they are if they don't want to change, it's a take it or leave it deal with people most part. people should change for themselves anyway, not for someone else or it's not real.

of course you should be honest with your partner if you wish them to make changes or want to encourage them and otherwise it'll just fester beneath the surface. but it sounds like blizzard's women just wanted the idea of him and not the real him, or wanted to use him. he said they wanted to take his money etc. as a strong independent woman you surely object to that? :P

LOL, yeah, I'm not trying to defend the character of blizzard's women.

It can fester under the surface when your partner isn't willing to encourage you as well. Like if whenever you try to do something new, they complain that you're not spending enough time with them anymore or something.
You'll never self-actualize the subconscious canopy of stardust with that attitude.

These post are great!  Brought a smile to my face and even a laugh.

I'm all for imprvovement, both that of myself and my partner.  But when it came down to it, I guess it was easier for them to switch partners than to work on evolving.  (New partners are less demanding and much more forgiving and giving.).  I just got tired of being a doormat/ATM/babysitter/etc.

those new partners won't be forgiving and giving for too long, either.  everyone gets tired of being used after awhile.

i love that saying "no matter how hot they are, someone else out there is sick and tired of their shit."
hats off to the man on top of the world
come crawl up here baby, and we can watch this damn thing turn

That's why you have to set the ground rules from the start.
