I voted today.

I went to the mall where they had set up an early voting station.

The line was crazy long... it took about an hour and a half to vote.

Yeah.  We did.  I voted Libertarian when I could... although, not for president.  I'm kind of in a swing state, and wanted to make sure my vote went to Obama instead of McCain.

I'm all for technology... I love that shit.  But seriously, I'm happy to fill in a paper ballot.   I don't know computers as well as some, but I do know they aren't as infallible as a paper and pen.

We had a bit of trouble counting the votes that were on paper ballot because the machinery for reading them was a little too sensitive and it kicked out a lot of ballots to be looked over by actual humans to try to discern the voter's intent.

It normally takes me about 1 to do it pen and paper. I have never had to even queue to vote - such is the general apathy over here!
