Ramones

I HAVE to put them in here, since they were the very first to send me a legal "Cease And Desist" order to prevent me from publishing my first book about rock world fun in the eighties.

Wallflowers

I thought about the White Stripes, then maybe Wishbone, then Wishbone Ash either of which might go more with my theme of trying NOT to forget the greats.

But, no. I am going with the Wallflowers.

Engelbert Humberdinck ( I have no clue why his name popped up in my brain box all of a sudden)

Foghat

I mean, we can not allow these old classic bands to die yet, can we?

Englebert?

I have recently (last spring) acquired a couple of albums of his in a massive bulk buy of record albums. I cleaned them all up but only a few weeks ago played one of his for the first time. (was going to trade them and wanted to know how they sounded, first hand) Honestly, he sounds like elevator music, half the time, but there are three songs that I continually find in my earworm bag.

His stage presence was not to be questioned. A great crowd pleaser, for sure. There were a number of singers I worked with that I never talk about - not my cuppa tea music and such.

But Edgey (I always gave every celebrity a nickname. It was my mark upon them. Months later I did sound for him again and he saw me and came up to me during sound check and said, "Hey, remember me? I'm Edgey." I said, "No." Smiled and then he hugged me and asked that his monitor be as powerful as when we had worked together before. I had a surprise for him, because I had quadrupled the number and power of my front stage monitors by that time.)  was a cool guy and I have respect for him, even now, so many years later.

Oh, Phoenix, he popped up in your brain box so that I could relate some more of my old stories. Thank you.
