Ok I had an idea. They should just shoot the men until the gender ratio reaches equilibrium. I believe that is what economists commonly refer to as "Market forces". 
That would work other than the work force being significantly reduced. I don't know what the unemployment rate in AUS is, but that might erase it. Yes, the answer is clear that the Aussie men must die for the benefit of their nation. Commence the roundup.
