You guys are tards. Buddha was himself a monk, and had many monks as followers.

ORGANISATION and SERVICE are different to religion.
Still emphasized it as a philosophy and not a religion.

Where does it say philosophies can't have devoted followers?

ONCE AGAIN, organisation != religion.
This brain could do with some more dimethyltryptamine.

What is the difference between ignorance and apathy? "I don't know and I don't care."

New Zealand has so far just missed out on a bronze for swimming. That Phelps guy is amazing, I've never seen anyone like him.

Turning channels and saw some of the opening ceremonies.  If they didn't sow close ups of the dancers and such I'd swear it was computer generated from just the long shots. Damn how many people do you think they needed to do all this?

The firework footprints were computer generated fakery, and some of the other fireworks were superimposed and not fired at that particular time. The little girl that sung... the voice was from a different little girl who the Chinese Politburo deemed not pretty enough, so they got a prettier little girl to mime the singing. And they even have fake crowds bussed in to fill the masses of empty seats.

Goodness knows what fakery from the opening ceremony will be revealed on the news today - just glad I didn't watch the ruddy thing in the first place - lol

They can, but the whole structure and having a Buddha idol really doesn't go with a normal philosophy.   I don't see Agnosticism, Absolutism, Actual Idealism or most of the below philosophies having organization (they shouldn't, or they would be religions).   They have followers, but not fucking monks, shrines and statues.  The idea of devotion is central to religion, you should question your philosophy more often than your religion.

Philosophies:  particular schools of thought, styles of philosophy, or descriptions of philosophical ideas attributed to a particular group or culture
:P   Internets are super serious.

I heard that too.

I think that the little girl who actually sang was very cute.

Both of them were pretty... but how shallow to run a contest to sing at the Olympics and then turn around and say the winning 8 year old didn't look good enough - and it was a member of the Politburo who insisted it was wrong for the image of China to permit her to be seen! Ghastly and grossly unfair - you just cannot imagine the microscopic mentality of such governments. :grrr:

Lin Miaoke

Yang Peiyi

They are both very pretty, just like you said.  I agree that it seems unfair.
